The 10-day Annapurna Circuit Trek is known as one of the best treks in the world. This trek starts from the tropical valley of Besisahar and follows the river Marsyangdi valley and reaches the world’s largest pass called Thorong-La (5416 m). It passes through many Himalayan villages in both the Marsyangdi Valley and the Kaligandaki Valley. This trek will allow you to see many different kinds of climatic zones, a few indigenous groups of people, their culture, language, customs, and traditions, some of the highest mountains in the world, ancient caves, frozen lakes, alpine valleys, and centuries-old monasteries.
This 10-day Annapurna circuit trek will offer you an unforgettable lifetime memory of rejoicing in your moment in the highlands of the Himalayas. This trip will start from Kathmandu to Besisahar by car, and you will stay overnight in Besisahar. And the next day you will have another drive to Chame (2600 m/8528 ft). It is headquartered in the Manang district, and it’s the least populated district of Nepal. As you step onto Chame, you can see Annapurna II (7937 m/26033 ft) just above your forehead on the right side of the valley. And the best part of the Annapurna Circuit trek is the changing scenery every day, every hour, every moment. You will see many villages during the trek, like Chame, Pisang, and Manang, and they are very beautiful with their unique architecture. Manang village has several facilities like a bakery cafe, internet, massage, pub, and gear shop in
Manang district is famous for the local tribe called Manangis, who are Tibetan descendants, and they are one of the indigenous groups in Nepal with their own way of living, culture, tradition, and customs. In the higher valley, you will see mud-thatched roof houses. In fact, the thatched mud is a good insulator when there is heavy snowfall in the winter. While in spring, it prevents the house from getting snow as well.
Kathmandu to Chame: you get to enjoy this pretty scenic drive from Kathmandu to Beshisahar, and then a thrilling jeep ride on up to Chame, kind of winding roads the whole time.
Diverse landscapes: you trek through big altitude shifts, like lush subtropical woodland here, then later this stark, cold arctic-ish high mountain vibe, without much warning.
World's highest peaks: you will see jaw dropping views of the world’s tallest mountains nearby, including the Annapurna and Manaslu ranges, it feels unreal.
Ancient monasteries: check out centuries old Buddhist monasteries and Hindu shrines too, all those little courtyards and carved details, really rich Himalayan culture and spiritual background.
Alpine lakes: stop at those stunning high altitude lakes where rare alpine migratory ducks hang around, in this quiet pristine mountain wilderness.
Thorong La pass: cross Thorong La, the world’s highest pass, sitting at 5,416m / 17,764ft, it’s both wild and breathy.
Muktinath temple: visit Muktinath, one of Nepal’s most sacred pilgrimage places for Hindus and Buddhists, people come for devotion, not just pictures.
Windy valley trek: hike through the well known windy Kali Gandaki Valley, which is counted among the deepest gorges on earth.
Arid landscape: experience that desert like, rain-shadow dryness in Mustang, with this rough arid terrain that looks almost otherworldly.
