Royal trekking is in the surrounding hills of Pokhara. This trek was initially pioneered by Prince Charles of England, and hence it came to be known as the Royal Trekking. It is a moderately easy trek. While trekkers do this trek, they will get excellent mountain views of Mt. Annapurna, Mt. Fishtail (Machhapuchare), Mt. Manaslu, and others. Also, walking through villages of different communities like Gurung, Magar, Kami, Chhetri, and Brahmins will give the experience of a different lifestyle and culture of the Nepalese people.
The Royal Trek starts from Kalikastan Ridge, about a 25 km drive from scenic Pokhara, and ends at Chisapani, 12 km west of Pokhara City. This trek has absolutely less traffic and a lovely walking trail in Annapurna trekking.
Royal Trekking proudly presents the Short Annapurna View Trek, you know, one of those really rewarding and easy trekking options close to Pokhara. It’s for travelers who want to see the majestic Himalayas but don’t want to jump into some long expedition, so in just a few days you get a nice mix of natural wonder, cultural life, and adventure. Yeah, all together.
From Pokhara, the trail slowly twists through quiet villages, terraced fields, and thick pockets of rhododendron and pine forest. As you climb higher, the scenery kind of swings open, and suddenly you’re staring at panoramic views of the Annapurna range, including the famous Machapuchare (Fishtail Mountain), Annapurna South, and Hiunchuli. Every single step feels like it brings you nearer to the Himalayas' core, with cool mountain air and those sharp, beautiful views that don’t really stop.
On the way, trekkers usually pass through traditional Gurung and Magar settlements. It’s a small window into daily mountain living, plus the local communities welcome you with genuine warmth. Cozy teahouses also show up along the path, giving comfortable places for rest, meals, and those “just one more minute” moments when you want to keep looking at the mountain backdrop. So it’s scenic, but also culturally full.
This trek works well for beginners, families, and anyone who has limited time yet still wants a real Himalayan experience. The walking trails stay moderate, there’s no technical climbing involved, and the altitude increase stays fairly low, so it feels safe and enjoyable for different fitness levels and ages, even if it’s your first time.
And at Royal Trekking, our skilled local guides make sure everything stays smooth, safe, and informative. We handle the details—route planning, accommodation, and permits—so you can simply relax into the Annapurna region's beauty, without stress or worries, sort of.
Whether you’re craving a quick escape into the wilderness, a bit of Himalayan trekking, or honestly just needing a breather from city noise, the Short Annapurna View Trek with Royal Trekking is set to deliver a never-to-forget adventure, packed with jaw-dropping scenery, deep local culture, and real mountain hospitality.
