The Everest mini trek is a glimpse of the Everest region, which presents the Sherpa community with the wheel of life, cultural rituals, and festivals. It is easy to hike and provides the dynamic environment of Khumbu with a 360-degree spectacular view of the holy mountain Khumi Yul Lha with Mt. Everest (8848 m). In the valleys of Khumbu, the summer monsoon starts from June to September. While in the productive season, people carry out their chores of herding and farming.
The Everest mini trek starts with an adventure flight to Lukla. The trail follows the Dudh Kosi River, and a spectacular Sherpa village and fields can be cultivated in the monsoon season. Grow potatoes, buckwheat, and barley during the monsoon. In the Khumbu region, only one year can grow the crop, but farming isn’t easy in these mountains. So all people, including businessmen, own plots of land on which they grow food to feed their families.
The Everest mini trek enters Sagarmatha National Park from Jorsale. The Sagarmatha National Park was established in 1975. The Khumbu Valley was designated as Sagarmatha National Park in recognition of the region’s unique and globally significant cultural and natural attributes. Consequently, the Park protects high mountain ecosystems, plants, and wildlife from the valley bottom at 8500 ft to the icy summits of most of the highest mountains in the world at over 28000 ft. The Sherpa year revolves around the main festival of Dumje, celebrated in each village at the beginning of the monsoon. Hence, Dumje began as a way to unite the newly settled village after the Sherpas arrived in Khumbu.
The Everest mini trek provides a 360-degree spectacular view of the holy mountain Khumi Yul Lha, Mt. Everest. Nuptse, Ama Dablam, Thamserku, and Kongde, to name some, with the mesmerizing view of neighboring villages Khumjung, Pangboche, Syangboche, Namche Bazaar, Thamo, and Thame. Spend your great time on the Everest Mini Trek, organized by Himalayan Smile Treks.
