Nepal Bhutan tours start with the host country and the Himalayan capital, Nepal. This is the land of the most preserved arts & architecture as well as natural resources. Here you will meet the Kathmandu Valley for sightseeing (1,400 m) and Nagarkot for hiking (2,175 m). For instance, the package involves Bhaktapur Durbar Square and Changunarayan Temple, which are World Heritage Sites. On the other hand, experience the sunrise/sunset view of the Himalayas via Nagarkot Hill. Next destination, we introduce you to the paradise city, Pokhara (827 m above sea level). Pokhara is 200km west of Kathmandu and is a tourist capital. Here you will observe the picturesque Fewa Lake along with the Annapurna Himalayas. The sightseeing includes Barahi Temple, World Peace Pagoda, Devi’s Fall, Bat Cave, and the sunrise view from Sarangkot (1,600 m). However, the Pokhara tour is scheduled after the Bhutan tour.

Nagarkot sunrise and sunset: Go to Nagarkot to catch the mountains as the light changes. The peaks glow warm at sunrise and then again at sunset. Snowy ridges and green terraces fill the view.
Bhutan monasteries and monuments : Check out Bhutan’s monasteries and monuments. Bright prayer flags hang in the air. Ancient dzongs stand watch. Quiet rituals give a calm feel to this spiritual place in the Himalaya.
Punakha Dzong and Tiger’s Nest : Stop by Punakha Dzong where the river meets. Then see Druk Wangyal’s 108 chortens. Finish with Tiger’s Nest on the cliff above the valley.
Kuenselphodrang Nature Park : Head to Kuenselphodrang Nature Park in Thimphu. There is the giant Buddha Dordenma statue there. From the park you can look out over the valley below.

Our Nepal and Bhutan tour was a wonderful combination of culture, nature, and Himalayan scenery. In Nepal, we enjoyed Kathmandu's historic temples, traditional architecture, and lively streets before traveling toward the beautiful mountain landscapes.
