Langtang Valley trekking is also called the Valley of Glaciers trek. Langtang is the closest place to the massive snow-capped mountains and beautiful glaciers. This valley is located only 19 miles north of Kathmandu. The whole valley is dominated by Mount Langtang Lirung (7246 m/23766 ft) and offers pine forests, swift mountain streams, rugged rock, snow-capped peaks, grassy lawns, and meadows.
The Langtang Valley trek, 10 days, takes around 8 8-hour drives from Kathmandu. The starting point of trekking is Syabrubesi. From Syabrubesi, you will follow the Langtang River to the east until you get to Kyangin Gompa (3,049/10,000 ft.) with an overnight stay at Lama Hotel, Langtang Valley, respectively. On the fourth day, you will arrive at Langtang Valley. In this valley, besides natural wonders, you also visit a local Tibetan village and see their lifestyle. The last destination of this trek is Kyanjin Gompa. Then you visit the ancient Buddhist monastery and glaciers in Lantang. Here you stay one more day, and on the next day you get an opportunity to ascend Kyangjin Ri (4350 m/14268 ft). From the top, you will get 360-degree mountain views of the Langtang region.
