Ghandruk village to Phedi
The Ghandruk Loop Hot Spring Trek is an exclusive, short, and sweet trekking package that takes you to the heart of diverse heritage, culture, and scenery, while offering an incredible hot spring pool experience that rejuvenates you, relieving all your pain, strain, and allergies. This trip encompasses the ancient Gurung village of Ghandruk (2012 m), a refreshing hot spring pool, and the picturesque Dhampus village. This journey is a complete recreational trekking trip that doesn’t require special mountain skills, though you need to be physically fit. The Ghandruk Loop Hot Spring Trek is a piece of cake, a bunch of flowers in a sense, because every day we walk through the beautiful village where we are greeted by smiling, hospitable people, while the difficulty level of the trek is easy.
The Ghandruk Loop Hot Spring Trek starts with a scenic drive from Pokhara all the way to Ghandruk, driving through a mountain road that is half paved and half unpaved. After reaching Ghandruk, we take the launch and go explore around Ghandruk village, which is famous for its Gurung culture, heritage, monastery, monument, museum, visitor center, and Himalayan panoramic view. The next day we trek to Jhinu Danda, which takes 4 hours. Jhinu Danda is 1770 m and is famous for its natural hot spring pool, where we spend two nights taking a hot spring pool bath, which is a remedy for arthritis, muscular pain, and neurological disorders.
Ghandruk Loop Hot Spring Trek: On the fourth day, we trek to Dhampus through Landruk, Tolkha, and Pitamdeurali 2200 m, which takes six hours. Beautiful scenery gives you company during the trek. We stop for lunch at a halfway place, which is called Tolkha. The next day we wake up early in the morning to see the sunrise, have breakfast, and go for a walk around the village. Dhampus village is scenic and famous for Gurung culture, typical Nepali houses, and panoramic views of the Annapurna Himalaya. After visiting around the village, we commence our journey to Dhampus Phedi, which takes 3 hours, where we catch the car and drive back to Pokhara.
The Ghandruk Loop Hot Spring Trek is the best rejuvenating journey in Nepal, which can be done by people of all age groups, and it’s even better for those who have a minimal number of days of vacation. Himalayan Smile Treks & Adventure is a leading trekking company across Nepal. If you have any queries regarding Nepal tours, please feel free to contact us.
The Ghandruk Loop Hot Spring Trek sort of fits naturally together with the Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek and also with the Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) Trek, because these three paths share the same southern Annapurna area and basically walk over each other at times.
One well-liked plan often begins at Ghorepani, then you catch the sunrise at Poon Hill; afterward, you go down toward Tadapani and move on to Ghandruk. From there it continues through Chhomrong, and then you press ahead all the way to ABC, so you get sunrise sights, Gurung villages, and the base camp itself on one long, consistent route. Along this string of days, you can also weave in the Jhinu Danda hot springs for a slower, easy recovery moment.
Duration: About 9–12 days for doing all three in one go, or around 5–7 days if you pick any two. The same ACAP permit and TIMS card cover the full trek, so you do not need additional paperwork or anything like that.
