The Tamang Heritage Trail and Langtang Valley trekking offer a peek at the Himalayan lifestyle and culture. The trail takes you to the green midland of Nepal, where you can experience wilderness through beautiful landscapes of alpine terrain, flat meadows, and rhododendron forests.

The Tamang Heritage Trail and Langtang Valley trekking start at Syabrubesi and pass through Goljung, Gatlang, Chilime, Human, Timur, and Briddim. The trail leads to the traditional Tamang villages of Khamkim, Goljung, and Gatlang. From Bahundanda, the mountain view is an incredible and panoramic view of Langtang, Kerung, and Ganesh Himal and the Sanjen Himal range. The Gatlang village is one of the most beautiful among the Tamang villages. Here, trekkers get a warm welcome from the Tamang people and can experience the age-old culture and hospitality of the Tamang community. The Tamang Heritage Trail and Langtang Valley Trekking another historical place is Kerung, which is inhabitants of the Langtang Valley are thought to be descendants of Tibetans from Kerung and spread around the Langtang and Helambu area. In the Langtang Tamang heritage trail, trekkers can observe Syabru dance, Khampa dance, Shaman dance, and other colorful dances performed during major festivals like Tamang Lhosar and Chhiju. In natural hot springs, you can clean yourself spiritually. The locals believe the hot water has a healing quality that eases away your aches and pains.

The Tamang Heritage Trail and Langtang Valley trekking are other attractions in the Langtang region. The Langtang Valley including number of high peaks Langtang Lirung(7246m/23766ft), Dorje Lakpa(6966m/22848ft), Morimoto(6750m/22140ft), Dragmarpo- Ri(6578m/21575ft). The Langtang Valley was declared a national park in 1976 and covers approximately 1710 sq. km, stretching up to the Tibetan border. The park has a high level of biodiversity, including 15 forest types and 3000 species. The trekkers recommended one spare day in Kyangjin Gompa to day-hike to Kyanjing Ri (5033m/16508ft) and Tsekori (4900m/16072ft).  Kyangjin, you retrace your route back down the valley to Syabru Besi and then drive back to Kathmandu.
