Pokhara is the second largest city after Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal. These two great cities are 200km apart being Pokhara located in western Nepal. Hence, it requires long-distance transportation to Pokhara from Kathmandu. Since there is no international airport in Pokhara, one has to arrive at Kathmandu airport TIA and access a 25min flight to Pokhara which is time-consuming. You could also take 7hrs of drive to reach Pokhara which we hardly recommend for the Pokhara Nepal tour.
