Overview

 Overview

Singu Chuli peak climbing offers you the thrilling experience of an expedition that will take you to the heart of the Annapurna region, following the footsteps of Maurice Herzog, the first Annapurna I climber in 1950 AD.  The Singu Chuli Peak is also known as a Fluted Peak.

Singu Chuli peak climbing offers an excessive challenge and thrill to the climber and helps upgrade climbing skills and technique. This fluted peak is called Singu Chuli with the local name. Fluted Peak climbing can be combined with some beautiful treks in the Annapurna region, so it helps gain the essential amount of acclimatization and physical fitness. The journey to fluted peak start with trekking Annapurna sanctuary that follows the rushing river called Modi khola starting from Annapurna from Annapurna south glacier. This peak can be climbed as a rehearsal before we switch to another 7000/8000 m Mountain. This peak offers all the obstacles and challenges that persist during an expedition.

For the expedition of this peak, various routes are possible, but climbing through the south ridge is the most attractive line. Fluted Peak makes for fabulous, easy-to-access, low-cost Himalayan climbing in the heart of the Annapurna region. Before heading to the expedition, every individual should be well acclimatized so there will be fewer chances of altitude sickness and possible inconvenience. Thus, we have to be physically fit and well acclimatized before scaling its towering height.

The trek starting from Ghandruk is the shortest possible way for climbing the Fluted Peak. It takes 8/12 days for climbing. The journey goes through beautiful Machhapuchhre Base Camp & Annapurna Base Camp. Then we have to reach Annapurna Base Camp, and the route goes through crossing the South Annapurna Glacier and setting up Base Camp, and the next day we set up high camp at 5000 m, then we prepare for the expedition of Fluted Peak. After fixing the ropes early morning, the group departs for the summit of Singu Chuli peak.

Highlights

 Highlights

Singu Chuli stands at 6,501 meters. It is a fine trek in the Annapurna Sanctuary area.

You walk first through green rhododendron woods. You also pass Gurung hamlets. The trail then turns into steep, open valleys. After that, you reach the climb base camp.

Along the route, you keep seeing wide views. You can spot Annapurna South, Machapuchare, Hiunchuli, and Gangapurna again and again. The scenery does not really stop.

Some parts are technical. You will deal with snow and ice. You will also cross glacier terrain. You need the right mountaineering know how and proper gear.

To handle the height, you acclimatize bit by bit. You start around Annapurna Base Camp. Only after that do you try the tough summit push toward Singu Chuli.

This route mixes village life, high mountain views, and real climbs above the tree line. It stays with you after you finish.
