Honey hunting tour Nepal is an ancient tradition of local villagers handed down through generations. This activity got immense publicity when Eric Valli, director of Oscar nominated film Caravan, published a book and made a film on honey hunting. The honey is harvested twice a year, once in April-May-June and again in October-November. The wild honey has medicinal value and fetches a great deal of money in the international market.
