Kathmandu Durbar Square is one of the three Durbar squares in the heart of the capital city. The royal palace also known as Basantapur Durbar Square was ruled by Malla and Shah dynasty over the city now opened as Hanuman Dhoka Museum. Around the stupa have Shrines, Harati mata temple, monastery, museum, shops, Thanka paintings, etc. To access up to the hill, you can either climb 360 steps or through the back side of the hill.
