Here we have a photo gallery for Everest base camp trek. The photos on this photo-journey were from Autumn 2016. We did fourteen days Everest Base Camp trek during that time. we had a beautiful weather since the beginning we had magnificent weather throughout the journey.

This is Tenzing hillary airport of Lukla one of the tough airport in Nepal also known as the gateway to Mt Everest. This airport is located at the altitude of 2810m/9216ft above the sea level.

Namche Bazar 3440m/11283ft is also called gateway town to Mt Everest. This town is pretty bigger then any other place in Khumbu region. Hotel, lodge, bakery, bar, pub, internet cafe are widely available in this town. Bank, Atm and mini market are also serving in this place.

Visiting Everest viewpoint on Acclimatization day

This settlement is called Khumjung 3700m/12136ft is located at the lap of Mt Khumi-Ula. This is one of the dense villages in Khumbu valley. We visit this village during acclimatization day in Namche. It takes around 2 hours to reach this village from Namche Bazar. There are few monasteries, longest mani wall & the school build by late Hillary first Everest climber.

Kalapathar 5545m/18187ft

 

Kalapathar is the best place to see Mt Everest otherwise the view from Everest base camp is not that good. It is said that the Everest from Everest base camp looks like an old man in the middle of a beautiful girl. It takes 3 hours to reach Kalapatthar from Gorakshep which is uphill all the way. Kalapathar 5545m/18187ft is the highest elevation during Everest trek.

 

The view from Kalapatthar Including Mt Everest, Nuptse, Khumbutsey etc Dozens of the mountain can be seen from Kalapatthar.
