Annapurna North base camp trek introduce one of this trail closed for almost a half-century by the Trekking Agencies Association of Nepal, Western Regional Association. This trail is called “The Annapurna North Base Camp trail (4190 m)”. Historically, on June 3rd,1950, French mountaineers Maurice Herzog, his colleague Louis Lachenal and a Nepali guide Ang Tharke Sherpa reached the top of Annapurna 1( the tenth highest mountain in the world at 8,091 meters) using this trail. This marked the first climbers in modern history to climb a peak over 8000m.
