Best hiking around Kathmandu valley including Nagarkot (2175 m) – Dhulikhel (1550 m) – Namobuddha (1810 m) hiking is one of the most popular and demanding short hiking route from perspective of visitors. After a short drive of 45 minutes (30 Kms.) from Kathmandu you will be there in Nagarkot hill station (2175 m). You can have overnight stay program in Nagarkot so that you can fully enjoy the time spent in Nagarkot. Being near to city it is far from crowd, pollution and road traffic and enjoys full of natural beauty, mountains and Himalayan scenarios. The main point of attraction in Nagarkot is terrific views of Himalayan ranges,. You can see the panoramic view of Himalayas sitting on the chair in the balcony of your room having a cup of coffee on your hand, which is the breath taking moment in your life.
After the best view of sunrise in Himalayan ranges we start our hiking program. Our trek approximately takes 5-6 hours to reach Dhulikhel (1510 m). Trail continues through the typical villages with fantastic sunset and sunrise inspecting large green valleys. Hike to Dhulikhel is best to observe the high Himalayas which add the extra thrill in the trip. Trek to Dhulikhel follow the small walking trail and continue towards to Rhonnie Bhanjyang. We can have a wonder views from the ridge of Rhonnie Bhanjyang. We continue further through the rugged trail and continue towards Dhulikhel. We will pass through the village of Kankre and Tanchok and reach Tusal. From Tusal we will ascend walk to town of Opi. We hike further for some time and reach a beautiful hill of Dhulikhel. We will spend our overnight in Dhulikhel admiring the alluring Himalayan views from its ridge.
After the breakfast we start our trek to Namobuddha (1810) which is a famous ancient Buddhist monastery in Nepal which is being surrounded by Tamang settlements. We can see beautiful hillside terraced farms, variation in landscapes and diversity of people living in harmony throughout the treks. In Namobuddha there is a special Buddhist legend about King Mahasattva offering his body to a hungry tigress at this very place which makes Namobuddha a holy site for Buddhist people.
