Chandragiri day hiking is one of the best day hiking around at Kathmandu valley. The hiking starts at Hindus Temple at Matatirtha or Hotel Outlook INN. The clean environment makes you different and you feel relaxed in your mind. Also, you can view the panoramic view of the Langtang and Ganesh Himal range. From outlook Inn hotel the trail leads to Chhap Bhanjyang at 2275m through the small village and forest. You will walk 3 hours steep up a stone staircase to the Chhap Bhanjyang. Here you will get tea and coffees in a local tea shop. This tea shop only open in season time. After one hour walking through the forest, you will be in Chandragiri Hill at 2729 m.
From Chandragiri Hill, you can observe spectacular mountains view west to east including Mt. Api, Saipal to Everest, Makalu, Kanchenjunga Manaslu, Ganesh Himal, Langtang Himal, Dorje Lakpa and Gaurishankar mountains range.
The Chandragiri inhabitant of an auspicious medical plant(herbs) and it has been found in Chandragiri jungle sub-tropical zone (1,000-2275 m). It is also a remarkable place to observe the verities of birds including Grey Wagtail, Steppe Eagle, Kingfishers, Common Myna, Indian Pond Heron, Oriental Turtle Dove, Red-vented Bulbul, Great Egret, House Crow, House Sparrow, Little Egret, Spotted Dove and so many others. The trail continues two and half hour descend to the Hattiban Resort. Your Chandragiri day hiking is ended now. Drive to Kathmandu by private vehicle.
The trekkers should pay by themselves the expenses of their meals and accommodation in the tea house while they're trekking. But other services are the same which are included in the Gold price and are also included in the Silver price.

07:00 – Gather all groups in front of Himalayan Smile Treks office
07:15 – Drive 45 min to Hotel De Outlook Inn nearby Matatirtha Temple from HST office
08:00 – Tea and coffee break in the Outlook Inn hotel, fill up a water bottle or last-minute shopping for the hike.
08:30 – Start hiking from Hotel De Outlook Inn to Chhap Bhanjyang through the small village and forest. Walk for 3 hours.
11:30 – After 3 hours steep climb reach in the top of
Chhap Bhanjyang at 2,275m.
11:30 to 12:30 – lunch break for one hour (Packed lunch).
Chandragiri hill
12:30 – Continue the hike to the Chandragiri Hill
13:30 – Reach top of Chandragiri Hill at 2729m which is rewarded with spectacular views of the mountains.
16:00 – The trial continues two and half hour descend to the Hattiban Resort. Your day hiking in end. Tea break for 15 m.
16:15 – Drive to Kathmandu by private vehicle. Drop all the group member in front of HST office.
