Home > Eco-home Nagarkot
We do not promise five star luxury and comfort, all we will try to do is to give you a five star experience of a Nepal home. We love Nepal and we are feeling responsible for this great nature and environment and we would like to show the beauty of Nepal to our guests. It is our aim not to run Eco-Home as a normal guest house, but as a typically Nepali home according to ecological demands. So in Eco-Home you will find typical Nepali materials like wood, stone, brick and pottery, it is partly operated by solar energy and we are collecting rain water so as not to waste valuable natural resources. Our rooms are comfortable, cosy, clean, each having a private balcony and view and featuring a mixture of stone and wooden flooring, Nepali rugs, hand made wooden door latches and masks of Shiva and Buddha. Besides this we set up a Nepali praying and worship room with statues of Shiva Lingam, Ganesh, Buddha and Jesus Christ, all smiling there together and it is our idea that names might be different, but “God” is only one and finally “we all are one”. In our restaurant there is a combination of brick walls, stone floor taken from the mountains, paper and pottery lamps and pottery speakers for music, typical Nepali and Tibetan curtains, carvings on roots of trees and natural stones from the river in the wall. In our bar which is made from wood we are offering a range of Nepalese drinks as well as international. We use fresh local vegetables bought to us in a Doka (big basket), to which we wash in potassium water to keep our guests healthy and to offer them local tasty fresh food instead of imported goods. Our naked smiling chef will prepare your food with his magic hand in our naked kitchen and you can watch with your naked eyes. For our longer staying guests, who are our family friends our chef will be heartily happy to teach how to prepare Nepali food. Other special services we provide you are front desk at your service for 24 hours, wake up call and bed tea on request, after sunset bonfire for all to enjoy, hot water bag in bed ( in winter), open kitchen, roof top terrace, praying room, restaurant in Nepali style, all rooms with attached bathroom and private balcony etc.
